The story was about "Lando" who doesn't believe in a shaman named "Datu Pikong". The people in their "bario" believe in Datu Pikong's ability to healed the illnesses of the people by using an imaginary phone to call "Apo Sandawa" (a fairy).Lando thought that Datu Pikong was just fooling around with the people and his just up for the people's money . Lando got angry and destroy the "tambara" (an altar for the deities) because he doesn't believe in that "fairy thingy". The fairies got angry for what Lando did . Lando was forced to to ask help to Datu pikong, and according to Datu Pikong the fairies want to take his wife and baby as punishment for what he did. Lando follow everything that Datu pikong commanded, he even dance the eagle dance just to make his wife and baby safe .
The story was kinda funny for me , because i also don't believe in that "fairy thingy"but I realized that we have to respect the others beliefs and culture,and we must mind our own business,and let those people(shamans)do what they want to do in their own lives, I also learned that we must not judge the book by its cover and we must do everything for our love ones.
